Lori Kerr was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. She grew up enjoying numerous outdoor activities with friends and family. After graduating from Grantham High School, she enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technologist program at Mohawk College.

After working in various Toronto Hospitals, Lori moved to Parry Sound for a change of pace. Trips to Chinatown and coffee houses were replaced with kayaking adventures and hikes along the rocky shores of Georgian Bay.

In 2006, she strapped her Kayak on top of her car and moved to Kelowna, British Columbia, where she still works as a lab technologist. Shortly after moving, inspired by the beauty of British Columbia, she purchased a Nikon DSLR. Lori's photography showcases her interest in nature.
